How to Join the Disciples of Hassan

1. Make sure you have more than ALL the basic requirements:

  • Level 50
  • 150 hours online *or* remort and 75 hours
  • 1 quest completed for every 2 levels (Total Levels found in myrank 1)
  • 5 campaigns (unless you are visually impaired)
  • Successfully completed the Academy
  • Full understanding of boards and notes system. Read "Help Note" for assistance.
  • Must not apply to any other clan while your application is being processed. 
  • Must have access to Internet in order to register (and participate) to our clan website and forum.
  • Must read and understand all of the following without the need to refer back to the site:
    • Disciples' Guide
    • Clan petition
    • Joining (this page)
    • On Aardwolf, read "help rules" and all related/referenced helps. These cover the most important mud rules.

 


2. Post a note on the Personal board to DoH with the subject line Application. This note must:

  • Tell us a little about who you are in Real Life
  • Describe how you like to play the game and plan to develop your character
  • Tell us why you would like to join DoH
  • State that you have not applied to any other clan at this time.
  • Give the details of your stats compared to the basic requirements to join (see above)
  • We are expecting a text of about 200+ words

 

3. The Applications Expert will respond to your note with any questions/concerns. If your application is accepted, you will have a three-day waiting period during which you should study the required reading to prepare for your interviews.

Taking notes is strongly recommended, as you are not allowed to refer back to the pages during your interviews.

 

4. You will need 2 interviews:

  • 1 interview from a member of rank Trainee or above.
  • 1 interview from a Sage.

 

After the waiting period, a member of DoH will contact you for your first interview. You may also contact us if you wish, per the instructions in your application acceptance note. (If you have not been able to get an interview within a week, post a followup to your application note.)

**You can be interviewed only once every 24 hours.**

You will be questioned about the contents of the required reading and anything else the interviewer would like to know. At the time of your interviews, you will be expected to already know the contents of the required reading. If the interviewer has reason to believe that you are referring back to the web pages or help files during the interview, you may fail the interview or be told to repeat it after further study.


5. An applicant who fails an interview or is otherwise found unsatisfactory must wait 30 days to reapply, with the possibility of a leader veto on reapplication (permanent ban).

 

Former Members Rejoining

Former members who wish to rejoin the Disciples of Hassan must:

  1. Meet or exceed all requirements for application to DoH.
  2. Post an application note on Personal Board introducing themselves, and stating the reason for their previous outcast from DoH and their reasons for wanting to rejoin.
  3. Know all required reading listed above.
  4. Pass interviews by, and gain the approval of, a majority of leaders, with no leader recommending permanent ban. During the interviews, the applicant must tell about any other clan applications or memberships, and the reason(s) for rejection or outcast.
